Affiliate disclosure

What an affiliate link is

When you click a link to a retailer and then buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission. handsoffmyhobby may take part in the Amazon Associates programme and in other affiliate programmes. Links that may earn a commission include the "Check price" buttons in our buying guides and some product links in other guides.

As an Amazon Associate, a site earns from qualifying purchases; this statement applies to handsoffmyhobby whenever we participate in that programme.

What it costs you

Nothing extra. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link. Commissions help cover the costs of running the site and keeping guides free, without advertising banners.

Our editorial independence

Affiliate links never influence which products we include or how we rank them. No brand pays for a place in a guide, and products are not chosen based on commission rates. A product that is the best fit for a tank is recommended even if no affiliate link is available for it.

How products are chosen

Products are selected from manufacturer specifications and widely documented user feedback, as described in our editorial policy. We do not claim hands-on lab testing, and we do not publish invented ratings or review counts. Prices and availability change often: always check the retailer’s page before buying.
